Frette Released a $20,000 Mattress…But Is It Comfy?

Full disclosure, I am absolutely not in the market for a $20,000 mattress but I am so into this.

If you haven’t heard, my favorite luxury bedding brand, Frette, has teamed up with Shifman mattresses and are exclusively selling one of the highest end mattresses on the market direct at Bloomingdale’s. Don’t worry, for the price ($20,000) you get free shipping. Hooray!

THE FRETTE MATTRESS REVIEW

Frette is one of the most well-known luxury Italian begging brands that has gone viral for its high-quality sheets, overall bedding, and home decor accessories. Founded in 1860, over the years, they’ve expanded their products to include luxury mattresses that are designed to offer maximum comfort and support, but at a premium price.

Frette has teamed up with Shifman Mattresses to create uber-luxurious mattresses that are currently only being sold at Bloomingdale’s.

Overall, it’s the mattress that’s basically been designed to cater to the rich, famous, or people who are looking for a high-end mattress that is comfortable, supportive, and durable. I made that last part up. It’s basically only for the rich and famous. Like, I don’t know what Beyonce and JayZ sleep on, but I’ll assume it’s a Frette mattress.

One of the main features of the Frette mattress is its super high-quality construction. It’s made using high-quality materials that are designed to offer amazing overall support and total comfort. It’s made using a combination of natural latex, resilient horse hair, wool directly from New Zealand, and premium cotton. And don’t worry, they’re all-natural and are also used to give you a super soft and comfortable sleeping experience. For $20K, I’d pray to God it did! And yes, I’m still not over the price.

When it comes to body support, Frette is using a combination of pocketed coils and memory foam layers. The pocketed coils are designed to contour to your specific body’s shape, helping to provide the best support for your shoulders, your hips, and your back. So it doesn’t really matter if you’re a back sleeper, a side sleeper, or just basically roll all over the place night after night.

Another feature of the Frette mattress is its temperature regulation. It’s designed to help regulate your body temperature, which will help give you a better night’s sleep and keep you at the perfect temp all night long, which is especially important for sweaty sleepers like me!

The natural latex layer of the mattress is designed to wick away moisture, keeping the mattress dry and comfortable. The wool and cotton layers also help to regulate the body’s temperature, ensuring that you remain comfortable throughout the night.

THE PROS & CONS

Of course pros and cons are always subjective and, especially with mattresses, it can really depend on what type of sleeper you are – from the position to your body temp, etc.

WHAT I LOVE

They really are super comfy and have a luxurious feel with plush top layers and a soft and cozy touch.
Temperature Regulation: They use materials such as wool and natural latex that help regulate temperature, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Variety of Firmness Options: Currently offer a range of firmness options that work with tons of sleeping preferences and needs.

JUST A HEADS-UP

Definitely the price – these mattresses are insanely expensive, even when they are on sale!
Location selection is limited. I was only able to find them online right now at Bloomingdale’s.

THE BOTTOM LINE, IS THE FRETTE MATTRESS REALLY WORTH IT?

Like I mentioned previously, I’m certainly not the standard Frette customer so I’m having a hard time stating if their mattresses are really worth the price. For most of us, honestly, I can’t say that spending $20,000 on a mattress is worth it…unless a celebrity comes with it, then, well, totally worth it.

However, there is a “but” and it’s a big but. But, if you have the cash to spend and it’s really not a big deal I say “go for it.” Their mattresses are made of some of the best materials. Also, if you do buy one please email me because I want to be friends.
