I’ve personally been a customer of Away for the past 3 years, so I’m covering a lot about their brand, the newest pieces of luggage (including new colors), their new stance on sales, promo codes – you name it. AWAY TRAVEL & LUGGAGE OVERVIEW

I’d say to dust off your old luggage, but after what we’ve all been through in the past couple of years I think it’s safe to say that we all deserve a complete suitcase upgrade. Heck, upgrade all of your luggage. We deserve it!

My new go-to brand for all things travel is the Away brand. I love the quality, the size options and especially their wide variety of colors to choose from (especially their limited edition colors that really are the best). Away has even been named as one of the best luggage brands this year by the travel experts at Trip Savvy, the folks over at US News Travel, and the testing experts at The Wirecutter.

What started out as one of the most popular carry-on pieces as now morphed into beautifully designed checked suitcases, packing cubes, backpacks, travel bags, shoe cubes, comfy travel neck pillows and so much more. Basically, everything you need to travel in total comfort and style comes from Away.

On a personal note, outside of their amazing selection I love this brand because they are totally female-founded (who run the world…girls!) and are a direct-to-consumer brand so, while some of the prices can be high, they’re able to cut some costs and pass the savings onto us since they’re able to cut out the middleman. So, basically you can save a bit even without a coupon code (although I’ll get to the deal with their coupons in a second).

Outside of Away Travel’s eye-catching colors, they have a really unique option in many of their carry-on’s where you can actually charge your phone or other devices directly from the carry-on itself. In fact, now they have two USB ports so you really can charge on the go! Everything is TSA approved and can easily and quickly be removed if needed. And if you’re not into the idea you can still choose any of their pieces without the USB ports. Definitely worth the look!

AWAY'S SALES & COUPON SITUATION

As I’m basically a professional deal hunter (no really, I get paid to hunt down deals), I looked into the promo code situation with Away Travel and if their luggage ever really goes on sale.

Starting with coupons, the good news is that yes they do have them and accept them online at checkout. But here’s the real-deal with those. Any coupon code or the like that’s active and works will come directly from Away. And they don’t really have them often at all. Your best bet is to subscribe to their emails so that you’re always in the loop on things like new arrivals, exclusive future sales, and even the occasional coupon here and there.

Now, this isn’t a coupon per se, but Away does have an offer where you can get an extra $20 off your future online order when you refer a friend to them and they make a minimum purchase. You can also save a bit when you go with one of their luggage sets. That’s when you can save an extra $50 or even $100. I’ll show you how to do all that below.

Since Away is a DTC brand it’s tough for them to have sales regularly. But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. At the end of March they were having a “surprise sale” for up to 30% off. And, of course, there has been their famous Black Friday sale that went right into Cyber Monday. Starting on Black Friday they were offering up to 40% off some of their best selling luggage options.
