If you’re like me and have a true distain for having to try and cover your outdoor furniture or move all the cushions into the garage right before it rains, your mind is about to be blown with Outer. I’ll cover their brand, their built-in covers, and even the deal with their current coupon offer – $100 off. Total game-changer.
Stop everything you’re doing and throw your old outdoor furniture away (ok, maybe don’t throw it away) because Outer is a total game-changer in the luxury outdoor furniture space and for all the right reasons.
You may have seen Outer secure a deal with Lori from Shark Tank or perhaps you’ve seen their videos going viral on TikTok with currently more than 11 million video views from their hashtag alone! But if you’ve somehow missed those two major events, I’m here to tell you that Outer’s outdoor furniture is the real deal, super comfy, made from recycled materials, and can withstand the elements thanks to their built-in covers to keep their cushions protected.
While they are a on the pricer side (there are reasons for that), they’re not only totally worth the money if you can swing it, but they’ve cut the middle-man out to make them more affordable than ever before and while they don’t typically have coupons they do provide two different ways to save a bit with both a $100 coupon and a 10% discount (more on this in a moment).

In the past I’ve loved having us cover some really fun and innovative outdoor brands like Breeo, Solo Stove, and even the outdoor furniture brand Yardbird. But the one I was most excited about was Outer. Now, truth be told, I was only able to buy one product from them myself. I went with the outdoor loveseat because I could use a extra seating on my back deck and really only wanted to invest in one piece due to the price and wanted to make sure I thought it was worth it.
Well, not only do I find it totally worth it, but so do other independent reviewers like CNN and the testers over at Honest Brand Reviews. Everyone acknowledges the high prices, but loves the quality, how their cushions contain memory foam making them some of the most comfortable on the market, how they’re fade-proof, stain-proof (hello spilled wine!), water resistant, and are super easy to clean. Outside of that I am obsessed with Outer’s built-in covers that you just pull out from the back and tuck under to keep your cushions free of dirt, debris, and annoying rain.
Do you know how annoying it was for me to have to constantly watch the weather in the spring/summer/fall and move cushions in and out of my shed on the regular? I felt like a prisoner to Mother Nature. Just being able to run out and quickly pull the covers over has saved me – legit – like 5 full annoying minutes. Of course, if there’s going to be really terrible storms, I’ll still cover them with a tarp, but normal weather – these covers are the way to go and are now my favorite things both inside and outside my house. Do it if you can!
OUTER’S SALE & COUPON CODE POLICYOf course I totally get that at such a high price point all us regular folk are looking for deal, whether it’s in the form of a promo code of just a sale that Outer is running. I researched this for a bit to figure this all out and help you save some time and hopefully a little money while we’re at it.
When it comes to things like coupon codes, Outer does accept them at checkout – but they don’t really give them out often. I saw them listed on some of the go-to promo code sites, but none of them worked on my order and, in fact, most of them looked made up. Who knows?! So, here’s the deal. Don’t waste your time looking online for coupons and the like. Outer will give out exclusive offers direct from their site at different times of the year/month.
For example, at last look I was able to get an extra $100 off just by signing up for their newsletter. I typed in my email address and they inboxed me with the $100 coupon I could use at checkout. They also have 10% discount code if you sign up to become a “host” which is basically allowing some folks to come to your yard and check out your Outer furniture. But don’t worry if that’s not your jam, they do state that you can get the 10% off just by signing up and don’t have to end up hosting if it doesn’t really suit you.
If you’re looking to see if Outer has sales, the short answer is yes. Like I mentioned above, they cut out the middle man and sell direct to try and keep the prices down the best they can. So you may not see “sales” on their site on a regular basis – or really much at all. But last year for Black Friday and even Cyber Monday they were offering 15% off sitewide, which was pretty generous. Even cooler? They allowed you to take the entire 15% off your purchase or you could take a percentage of that and have them put that towards planting trees. It kind of reminded me of Everlane’s “Choose What You Pay” sale. Amazing!
