You’ve seen them online and in just about every store you walk into. Yep, we’re talking about Vital Proteins. We’ve incorporated ours into our daily morning routine and their prices are better than ever before!
Our Take:
If it’s one thing we know that’s everywhere these days, it’s collagen protein powders. We weren’t entirely sure it was really for us, but that was until we saw that Jennifer Aniston was recently named the Chief Creative Officer of Vital Proteins and then, well, we were intrigued. If you were ever on the fence about incorporating collagen into your daily life, you may want to start now. I mean, Jen Aniston wouldn’t lie to us, right?

Overall, the entirety of the collagen market is expected to grow to more than $7 billion (yes, billion) by the year 2027, according to experts. So, yeah, we’re clearly late to the game, but the truth is we tried some collagen powders in the past and we weren’t in love with our experience. So, ever since Rachel Jen was involved we decided to give it a whirl again. We’re glad we did.
From a high level, according to medical experts – adding collagen into your daily life/diet can help with things like:
- Strengthening bones
- Help with skin elasticity
- Help with thickening hair
- Help with healthier nails
- Help with increased muscle mass
Of course, we’re clearly not doctors here so, as always, check with your doctor first before you start any type of supplement. Once you get the stamp of approval – we recommend giving Vital Proteins a chance.
We tried their basic (in a good way) option, which was Collagen Peptides that contained 20g of collagen and even included Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid. It was really easy to incorporate in our day. We just toss a scoop into our morning coffee and we’re good to go. Now, if you’re adding it to liquid, most recommend to add to hot beverages – but we’re diehard iced coffee drinkers so we just add it to that. It took a little bit of blending, but then we’re good to go. There’s no flavor to it doesn’t change the taste at all.
We’ve been using it (at this point) for a little while now and the thing we noticed the most was that our hair seemed to look and feel healthier. And, um, it seemed to be growing faster. Now we can’t prove that, but we’ve had to get our haircut 1 week earlier than our normal 3 – 4 week routine. Honestly, for us that’s a game changer because we’re holding on to our hair as long as we can!
They have a bunch of other options, too, like:
- Beauty collagen
- Matcha collagen
- Hair boost
- Sleep helpers
- So. Much. More.
We haven’t tried those out yet, but we plan to and will let you know how it goes. We could always use a little extra help with our sleep!
So, if you’re been trying to decide to jump on this trend (is it even a trend anymore?!) after you check with your doc, we def recommend giving Vital Proteins a shot. Oh, and we’re hoping Jen Aniston finds our review and decides she wants to be friends with us. It’s like our vision board. It’s the Oprah way.
The Deal With the Deals:
As of now, they actually have a bunch of deals taking place on their site. Like, there’s a lot. So we decided to put together this little cheat sheet so you can see what works best for you:
- Take 15% off when you sign up for their emails
- Take 25% off when you subscribe with reoccurring deliveries
- Get a free collagen when you refer a friend (they’ll even get $10!)
We like their subscription plan the best because you’ll get 25% off your first order, but then they’ll give you 15% off every time after that and free shipping. And you can change the frequency, pause, or cancel at any time. They’ll even toss in some free samples too. Check everything out here!
To Gift or Not to Gift:
We think these actually make excellent gift ideas, especially if you live with the person you’re gifting – and you know what their deal is. So, we put together a quick gift guide with some ideas for even the pickiest of people:
- The Wife – Go with their original collagen protein powder – See it here
- The Husband – Go with the hair booster – See it here
- The Parents – Go with any of their sleep helpers – See it here
The Deal With Promo Codes:
We always get asked this! But, no, Vital Proteins doesn’t have coupons or promo code offers they send out to websites. Sadly, we don’t have those here either. Per usual, we checked some other sites who claim to have discount codes but, er, no dice. Do they ever work anyway?!
The promising news is that, VP (we call them that sometimes) does have discount codes for new customers when you sign up for their emails and they have a fun friend-referral program. We always recommend to just shop them direct because they’ll have all active and current offers listed on their own site. Check out all their latest here!
