It’s like 1992 all over again which, to be honest, sounds nice and peaceful to us! Our friends at Nintendo are releasing the new Super Nintendo (SNES) Classic Mini Edition game system and it’s supposed to be one of the biggest gifts for the 2018 holiday season (and probably into 2018 too). There’s just one catch. It’s a real nightmare to find it anywhere in stores and almost just as impossible to find it online. Nintendo is having a bit of a pre-order nightmare on their hands, but places like Amazon, Best Buy, and eBay, are sometimes in stock. Outside of that, lets dig into how awesome the SNES really is.
If you were like us, you played your regular Nintendo until the wires frayed and then you upgraded to Super Nintendo, which at the time seemed like a technological miracle. Plus, we finally got our hands on an all new Super Mario Brother’s game! Nothing was better than that. Well with the new SNES Classic Mini Edition, it comes pre-loaded with 21 of your favorite Super Nintendo games and 2 new games that have never been played before. Sweet! Plus, it comes with 2 controllers (yes!) so you don’t have to go out and buy that second one and it’s super simple to plug-and-play as it comes with the required HDMI cables. So how much is the SNES Classic Edition going to cost? Great question. You should be able to get it for $79.99 and places like Amazon will offer free shipping thanks to Prime (duh!). However, like we said this is going to be a super tough one to buy as it gets closer to Christmas so some places will likely jackup the price like crazy.
