You may not spend a lot of time thinking about how Oprah sleeps and what she slips into each and every night, but we do!  Not in a creepy way.  If you’ve ever wondered what her favorite sheets are, you’ve come to the right place.  We even found a way to save a bit on them too – if you’re willing to treat yourself to this little piece of heaven.

Oprah's Favorite Sheets 2024 - Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set

30% Off at Cozy Earth

We’ve been covering Oprah’s Favorite Things around here since about 2016.  And while some are pretty insane and barely affordable (at least for us), when it comes to bed sheets – Oprah really loves just one set.  She also loves a bunch of other things the company offers too (from sock to pajamas and more).  That company?  Cozy Earth.

If if you haven’t heard of their official Bamboo Sheet Set, you really are missing out on one of the best night sleep, ever.  Not to mention, even the Sleep Foundation has said that bamboo sheets can help to regulate your body temperature while you sleep, helping to keep you cooler at night especially if you’re a sweaty sleeper or have to deal with hot flashes.

These bed sheets from Cozy Earth first made Oprah’s list back in 2018 and were named “The Sleep of Angels.”  In fact, Oprah herself has said,

Your bed shouldn’t be where you sweat the small (or big) stuff. This bamboo-sourced set—including sheets and a duvet cover—is the softest ever and may help regulate body temperature, meaning both chilly sleepers and hot flashers can get a good night’s rest.”

Hey – if Oprah said it you know we totally believe it.  If you don’t want to pick up the entire set (including duvet cover) you can just go with the sheet set itself which includes:

  • 1 Flat Top Sheet
  • 1 Fitted Sheet
  • 2 Pillowcases

The claim is that their moisture-wicking bamboo fabric (moisture wicking is said to pull the heat/sweat away from your body) is actually one entire degree cooler than traditional cotton sheets.  You may not think that 1-degree is that much of a difference, but you’d be surprised.  We’ve been covering some of the best sheets on the market around here for years and those that are made with bamboo really are some of our personal favorites.  We’re kind of psyched we align with Oprah on this one.

Overall, at the time of publication, Oprah’s favorite bed sheets are still kind of highly priced – but are on sale for 30% off the original price.  So if you ever were going to test these out, right now may just be one of the best times of the year to do so.  If they’re not on sale, Cozy Earth typically will give new customers an extra 25% off when you sign up for their promotional emails (enter in your email address and they’ll shoot you over a 25% promo code to use at checkout – restrictions apply).

Ok, so here’s the deal.  By now you know I love all things Oprah.  And so, yeah, I did purchase these sheets (not on sale) back in 2019.  They’re expensive.  I think I paid about $380 for them (a queen size set).  I was not given them in exchange for any kind of review.  I just really love my sleep, am not a great sleeper, and am willing to do whatever it takes to sleep at night.

So I will say this.  Yes, they are as comfortable as you’d imagine.  When freshly out of the package they feel almost silky smooth on your skin and when you move around when you sleep and lay your leg in a new position it feels nice and cool all over again.  It’s like constantly feeling the cool side of the pillow – like – all the time.

After washing them a few times I noticed that the claims are correct – they do not pill.  That’s great!  The one thing I was a bit disappointed in is that after about 6-months I don’t think they felt quite the same as the beginning.  They were still really comfortable, but that silky smooth feeling seemed to die down slightly.  Not enough to complain, but for spending almost $400 I kind of what that feeling all the time.

Here’s the thing, however, I now only sleep with bamboo sheets.  I was able to get a really great set of sheets that I like almost as much from Bed Bath & Beyond (Pure Beech) and they were only like $60.  They don’t last as long (I replace them about every other year) but, for me, the feeling is almost the same as the ones that Oprah loves from Cozy Earth.

Here’s a list of quick Pros & Cons I came up with, in hopes this helps you out a bit.

ProsConsBottom Line

• Yes, these bamboo sheets really are one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on.

• They did help to keep me a bit cooler than normal, which is great because I’m a sweaty sleeper.

• Sizes start as small as a Twin and go up to a California King and even a Split King.

• Oprah really does swear by these sheets!

• At $360 these really are pretty expensive.

• There’s not currently a huge color selection – although the colors they have are really nice.

• I don’t use a top sheet and there isn’t an option to remove that from purchase so you’re paying for something you may not use.

If you have the extra cash to spend and want to treat yourself, you really can’t go wrong with these sheets.  And hey, Oprah loves them.  If they’re a little out of your price point and want something similar for less – check out some other bamboo sheets that will still feel really good when you sleep.

If you’re into Oprah’s faves, you can get them here at Cozy Earth and for at least 25% off.
