Amazon’s Spring Sales Event Just “Might” Make 2024 the Best Year to Save

Prime Day-like deals in March? We. Will. Take. It!

Move over Black Friday and Cyber Monday because there’s a new sales event that’s crushing all the rest. While we wait for the upcoming Prime Day sales event, Amazon may keep our deal hunting on-point this Spring. Last year Amazon did have a Spring sales event in March and we’re really hoping for the same this year.

WHAT & WHEN IS AMAZON'S SPRING SALE IN 2024?

Similar to the always-famous Prime Day, last year Amazon held a major Spring sale in March for the first time ever. And, again, similar to Prime Day the Spring Sale took place over the course of 48-hours (March 27 – 29).

HOW TO TAKE PART IN AMAZON PRIME SALES

To participate in any Amazon Prime sale, you need to be an official Amazon Prime member. If you’re not already a member, you can sign up for a Prime membership, which offers various benefits like free two-day shipping, access to Prime Video and Music, and much more. Once you’re a Prime member, you’ll be eligible to enjoy the exclusive deals during the sales event.

THE DIFFERENT TYPE OF DEALS TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR

Gone are the days where their sales event just marked down a ton of products and called it a day. Now there are a wide variety of different deals from Preview Early Access Deals to Lightning Deals and everything in between. Here’s a quick breakdown.

EARLY ACCESS DEALS

Amazon’s early access deals can being upwards of one week before the official start of Prime Day. Typically, the early access deals I see are centered around products that Amazon owns like the Kindle, Echo, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and more.

LIGHTNING & LIMITED TIME

Lightning Deals are time-sensitive, limited-quantity offers available for a very short period or until they’re sold out. These deals can be highly sought after, so it’s important to act quickly to secure the items you want while they’re still available and on sale.

PRIME DAY LAUNCHES

In the past, Amazon often used Prime Day to unveil new exciting products or even some exclusive launches. It’s an exciting opportunity to discover the latest gadgets, innovative items, and exclusive collaborations – all at a discounted price for a limited time.

HOW TO GAIN EARLY ACCESS

While there really isn’t exclusive early access for anyone, you have to be a Prime Member to take part in the event so make sure you’re all set there and then once you are, be on the lookout for those early access deals from the Amazon brand itself and their lightning deals they release prior to the main event. HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF AMAZON'S SALES

The two days are going to be pretty crazy, so it’s always important to be prepared the best you can so you can really make the most out of it. Here’s what I do to help ensure the day runs smoothly.

Create a Wishlist: Before any sale, create a wishlist of the items you’re interested in, so you can easily track and monitor their prices during the event.
Set Notifications: Enable notifications from the Amazon app or website to stay updated on the latest deals and offers.
Compare Prices: Do some research beforehand to ensure that the new deal is indeed a significant discount.
Explore Lightning Deals: Keep an eye on the lightning deals, as they can offer incredible discounts on popular items.

THE 5 BEST WAYS TO SAVE ON ANY AMAZON SALE

From my experience of covering this event over the past 5 years, the deals go quickly! I’m talking out of stock and ‘adios’ status. So you definitely want to make sure you’re prepared and fully loaded (and I don’t mean ‘drunk’ but you do you, boo) to take advantage of the most sales and deals possible. Here’s everything I recommend you do so you’re 100% ready. Ready? Go:

1. Get a FREE 30-Day Prime Trial to Make Sure You’re Eligible to Take Part in the Sale:

You don’t realize how many people aren’t aware that you actually need to be a Prime Member to gain entry into Prime Day and get those crazy sale prices. At this point we think everyone already has their Prime Membership, but in case you don’t you’ll want to sign up. We recommend keeping it for the full year because, let’s be honest, we all order from Amazon almost every day so you’ll love the free 2-day shipping and exclusive prices, deals, and more. However, if you don’t feel like it you could always sign up for the free trial and then cancel your membership after. But, I mean, come on. You’ll 100% want to keep it.

2. Get $10 to Put Towards Your Purchases With the Amazon App (and Your First Login):

This is a great option to save some money and get some extra money too! When you download the Amazon app you’ll be eligible for $10 added to your account when you sign-in for the first time. What’s even better (or almost better) is that once you’re in the app you can add products and deals to your watchlist and get alerts on what’ll be on sale 1 day before it actually starts. 3. Just Ask Alexa to Help You. No, Really.

If you don’t feel like browsing the depths of Amazon to see what all the sales are, just ask Alexa. You do have Alexa, don’t you? If not, no shame in your game! You can get her here. Once she’s set up all you have to do is turn her own and simply say, “Alexa, what are my deals?” Worst case scenario, you can browse through the most recent deals here.

4. Quickly Sign Up for an Amazon Credit Card and Get Anywhere Between 5% – 20% in Cash Back!

So who the heck wants another credit card? Certainly not us. However, we’re not hating on the idea of apply and (fingers crossed) getting accepted for the Amazon Prime Credit Card because we’ll just order what we want on it and then pay it totally off by the time the bill comes. For real, if you don’t pay off the full balance don’t even bother with it. If you do use it, you’ll get 5% back on each purchase any day of the week.
